Bringing in the last of the wood for the season, these trunks are dragons that will breathe their fire into our home forge to slowly anneal us through the cold winter months. While cutting and pulling these logs in, I was writing a song about a leader with no leadership, such a shameful time (among many) in our recent history. It’s tentatively called “Giant of Darkness” and is loosely themed around giants that appear in old fairytales and have no heart and make destruction. The bridge at this moment is:

“I am the Sun, and I see all things. In all that you do, is there nothing that sings?

I am the Sun, and I do not lie, I tell your tale of darkness all through the sky.”
